Abstract:
|
This session will focus on the statistical perspectives for the developments of big data platforms. The contents will include algorithmic design, computation model, data flow and partitioning, and memory hierarchy that are needed to support deep statistical analysis on big data. This is a timely and important topic for statisticians to discuss so that the statistical perspective can inform the future design of big data analysis platforms.
