Abstract:
|
In clinical studies with time-to-event as a primary endpoint, a main interest is to find best treatments to maximize patients' survival. Due to patient's heterogeneity in response to treatments, great efforts have been devoted to developing optimal treatment regimes by integrating individual's clinical and genetic information. In this talk, we will propose a class of robust estimators of the survival function for subjects taking a treatment regime. It provides a general framework for deriving the optimal treatment regimes and for comparing different treatment regimes. Asymptotic properties of the estimators will be studied. Simulations and an application to a survival data from an AIDS clinical trial will be given to illustrate the method.
