Abstract:
|
We review random-effects meta-analysis methods with an emphasis on the handling of sparse and incomplete data, and conduct a sensitivity analysis using a semi-parametric Bayesian analysis with mixtures of Dirichlet processes prior. A systematic review of pediatric phase I oncology trials provides a real life example where the absence of within-study comparison groups and a high percentage of zero or missing observations complicate a meta-analysis.
