Up to now, various multivariate medians have been proposed. To support applications, we study the effect of kurtosis on efficiency of some well-known multivariate medians, that is, how the efficiency is affected by the underlying distribution through its kurtosis. The effect is investigated under broad conditions and general results are established for those multivariate medians.
