Abstract:
|
Adverse drug events remain a significant cause of morbidity and mortality and a primary source of attrition in new drug development. In this talk Dr. Tatonetti will present methodology for discovering drug side effects from large databases and from information contained in collected web searchers. By exploring large numbers of queries and self-reported symptoms, treatment-related side effects may emerge.
