Abstract:
|
Simulation experiments are useful for checking and expanding our understanding of statistical estimators and tests. However, large simulations can be frustrating due to computational limits on storage (for capturing many simulated datasets) and speed (for analyzing many dataset). I will present a framework for simulation experiments that uses tools from the R package plyr (1) to organize simulation experiments that are scalable and do not run out of memory during execution.
