Abstract:
|
Accelerated life testing was conducted where 10 items were tested at temperature fluctuation of -40°C to 85°C(125°C difference) and 4 of them failed before 200 cycles while 8 items were tested at temperature fluctuation of -25°C to 60°C(85°C difference) and none of them failed before 200 cycles. Weibull distribution is traditionally used to model the number of cycles to failure and Coffin Manson relation is used to relate the temperature differences. So Manson Coffin - Weibull model is used as a stress - life relation. In this talk difficulties and problems with this type of analysis is presented along with some guidelines to the analysis.
