Abstract:

In this paper, we consider Bayesian inferential procedures for the regression models when the constraint of the regression function needs to be incorporated in modeling. For this purpose, we provide some aspects of Bayesian inference with constraints and discuss several Bayesian approaches to the regression model with functional constraints that include the shape-restricted function estimation problems and regression problems subject to uncertainty about the functional constraints.
