Abstract:
|
Assessment of progression by Independent review committee (IRC) in randomized clinical trials has been advocated and widely used to control bias that might result from errors in assessments by investigators. However, although IRC's assessment lessens some potential reader biases, it may introduce bias because of informative censoring, which results from having to censor unconfirmed locally determined progressions. In this talk, we will introduce a model-base imputation of missing assessments by IRC due to missing scans after investigators' progression assessment. Information from the informative censoring will be partially recovered and hence bias will be reduced in estimating the treatment benefit.
