Abstract:
|
In this presentation we explore the relationships that individuals have with their communities using the Knight Foundation Soul of the Community survey. Some aspects we investigate include the different facets of both urban and rural communities that inspire attachment to that community; the impact of quality of education on community attachment, loyalty, and passion; and the connection between the aesthetics of a community and its citizens' emotional wellness as it relates to driving community attachment. We present our findings using interactive as well as static visualizations.
