Title: Make Small Clinical Trials/Studies Valuable
Author(s): Anna Nevius*+
Companies: Food and Drug Administration/CVM
Keywords: small clinical trials
Abstract:

A clinical study or trial with a sufficient sample size and statistical power and proper control of bias is always recommended whenever feasible. Certain situations in the real world make the recommended studies or trials hard to achieve. However, if right research questions have been identified, if study design has been tailored to the feature of small sample size, if appropriate statistical analysis methods are available, and if results can be clearly reported, including limitations, sample characteristics, etc., small clinical studies/trials are still valuable. This roundtable intends to gather people who have experience with small clinical studies or trials or are interested in this topic to share their expertise, innovative thoughts, and recent developments in this area.
