Abstract:

The statistical literature dealing with inference for non-inferiority trials has grown substantially in the last two decades. Some of these methods depend on asymptotic results and thus do not facilitate to exact methods, resulting some problems in small sample trials. We discuss how generalized p-value methods can be extended in non-inferiority trials under heteroscedasticity with small sample sizes. The approach can be adjusted to achieve desired sizes of errors and powers. The results from simulation studies and applications will also be presented.
