Abstract:

The Data Deluge has just begun, but nowhere is it as important to understand issues of statistics than in medicine. More and more, practitioners in the health sciences are being presented with evidence based medicine, and it is our role to train them so that they can understand the arguments being presented. In this session, panelists talk about different teaching techniques they've implemented to get the most out of their introductory courses. Our discussant will bring together the ideas and provide advice for how we can impart statistical wisdom on as many students as possible.
