Abstract:
|
Bayesian applications in medical product development have gained popularity in the last few years. Despite many successes, the application across the various areas of medical product development has been modest. The DIA Bayesian Scientific Working Group (BSWG), which includes representatives from industry, regulatory, and academia, has a vision to ensure Bayesian methods are well-understood, accepted, and broadly utilized across medical product development to improve decision making and enhance patient outcomes. The focus of this session is on the recent effort of the DIA BSWG Education sub-team including results from an industry-wide Bayesian survey and recommendations from the sub-team on how to improve the progress on Bayesian application in medical product development.
