Abstract:

This year J. Stuart Hunter celebrates his 90th birthday. This session will recognize his many and varied contributions to statistical science, including his role as the first Editor of Technometrics, his leadership in the statistical community, his work as an educator and his contributions to industrial statistics including research in the design of experiments and quality improvement. A panel of leading researchers and experts in industrial statistics will highlight his contributions, giving their view of a highly productive career and speculating on future directions inspired by Stu's work.
