Title: Some Open Challenges in the Analysis of Network Data

Abstract:

In this presentation I describe some interesting classes of statistical models for networks and outline a pair of open challenges in the analysis of network data: (1) dynamic network-based models for transactional databases that incorporate geography and other measures of locality, (2) statistical methods for the design and analysis of network experiments when observations are not independent due to network interactions and influences. Both of these challenges need to be understood from the Bayesian modeling perspective.
