Abstract:
|
Kesar Singh made major contributions to our understanding of the bootstrap, and he made them in a particularly timely fashion. His 1981 Annals of Statistics paper determined the directions for a great deal of theoretical research on the bootstrap for more than a decade. However, he made his mark in other areas too. This talk will address a sample of his contributions.
