Abstract:
|
Kesar Singh made many contributions in many areas of mathematical statistics, including bootstrap, data depth, confidence distribution, asymptotics, quatile processes, among others. In the last few years, he was particularly passionate about the development of confidence distribution and interested in research related to the foundation of statistical inference. In this presentation, we will focus on the concept of confidence distribution and Kesar Singh's contributions in this area of research. We will also discuss a pragmatic view and inference approach that can potentially bridge the gaps between different statistical paradigms.
