Abstract:
|
A presentation that focuses on the important role of statisticians in developing the evidence base that informs care choices for patients. Guideline development and the meta-analysis methods developed by statisticians have been central to the development of evidence based medicine. It is likely that causal modeling and recent innovations in observational analysis developed by statisticians will be key in the next wave of personalizing medicine.
