Abstract:
|
In this presentation we will focus on the late Tom TenHave's early development as a scholar and researcher. We'll look at his student days at the University of Michigan, and how his experiences at Michigan, both as a student and as a staff statistician, formed the foundation for his career. Emphasis will be given to how the interplay between Tom's intellectual curiosity and his experience working on real problems guided his thinking and choices of research topics.
