Abstract:
|
Tom Ten Have made many contributions to causal inference through his development of new methodology, his translational research on applying causal inference methods to problems in mental health research, his leadership on and enthusiasm for causal inference, and his mentoring of many junior researchers in the causal inference community. We will review these contributions, focusing particularly on Tom's contributions to estimating the effect of treatment when there is noncompliance and mediation analysis.
