Abstract:

David Blackwell preferred to write short, direct papers dissecting problems cleanly and showing the rest of us why things have to be the way they are. In this talk I will argue the merits of this style of paper writing. I will focus on a bit of David's work in game theory and measure, and convince you it would all have been clearer if David were giving this talk.
