Abstract:

The object of the present study is to perform parametric statistical analysis of survival duration times of breast cancer data. We determined that the survival times of whites, African Americans and other races are statistically different. Product-Limit survival probability of the three races was computed and plotted. The probability distribution that characterize the behavior of the response variable was obtained with parameter estimates and along with the confidence limits. We have also studied the behavior of cumulative distribution function, hazard function for all the three races and proceeded in identifying the appropriateness of the exponential model and the Weibull model, respectively, for this survival data.
