Abstract:

Working as a statistician for Consumer Packaging Goods company presents a great opportunity to showcase a statistical skill sets. Design of Experiments knowledge is needed to create optimal processing settings, consumer preferences, cost savings, and in product development. Analysis of variance is used to analyze consumer testing data, compliant rate reduction, and efficacy analysis. Cluster analysis is used to determine preference segments in the population. Factor analysis is used in various multivariate analyses. Strong programming skills are needed to perform the necessary analysis. Also, interpersonal skills and the ability to present statistic in a clear and concise manner are needed to give statistical advice to those seek your advice and for presenting results to non-statistics professional.
