Abstract:
|
The Midwest Undergraduate Data Analytics Competition (MuDAC) was a 24 hour competition held in April 2012. Participants worked in teams to provide an analysis for Fastenal®, a global leader in the distribution of industrial and construction supplies. Teams consisted of undergraduates from various institutions from the upper Midwest. Teams had 24 hours to complete their analyses, provide an executive summary of their findings, and present their recommendations to Fastenal®. The authors will share their experiences with creating, organizing, and implementing a competition of this nature.
