Abstract:

A new definition of the overall Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) is proposed and a unified model for discrete and continuous responses is developed. Probit models with latent variables are employed in the discrete model analysis. Theoretical properties of the model are investigated and some of simulation comparisons between the new model and some existing models are given.
