Abstract:
|
Studies of interactions among biologically active agents have become increasingly important in many branches of biomedical research. In our recent study, the cells are treated at different times before harvest. A 4-parameter Emax model seems more appropriate to describe the dose-response relationship for this type of experimental data. We propose using 4-parameter Emax model to describe dose-response relationship, then we develop procedures to assess the treatment effect and drug interactions. Meanwhile, we will apply isotonic regression model to estimate dose-response relationship and asses drug interactions. Case studies and simulations will be carried out to illustrate the pros and cons of the proposed models.
