Abstract:
|
This presentation considers the development of inferential techniques for the general half-normal distribution based on the generalized variable method. Using the Generalized Variable (GV) approach, we construct the generalized confidence interval for and construct the generalized p-value for testing the location parameter. Examples are given in order to illustrate our developed methodology. By analyzing the percentage body fat measurements made on 102 male elite athletes as well as the simulated data, advantages of the proposed generalized variable method over the large sample procedures are discussed.
