Abstract:

A beginning position in data analysis for pharmaceutical industry requires a Bachelor or above degree in statistics related field and familiarity with certain statistical analysis software. To continue on to a successful career, additional skill sets are necessary. To build a solid foundation, use every opportunity to learn the trade, develop passion, pay attention to details, demonstrate team spirit, and maintain professionalism. Broad career paths include technical, managerial, operations, and business development tracks. People skill, leadership quality, and vision facilitate non-technical tracks while innovation, problem solving skill, and quest for new methods build technical path. Above all, good communication skill, ability to prioritize, and commitment are essential for success wherever opportunity leads.
