Abstract:

The propensity score matching method has been widely used in clinical trial analyses. The Greedy 1:1 matching algorithm has been recently applied to assess the clinical outcome with imbalanced baseline characteristics for two medical device treatments in a non-randomized trial design. We will use this approach to assess the dynamic m:n matching in diabetic patient subgroup to compare clinical outcomes in medical device trials. A case example data will be used to demonstrate the difference among 1:1 matching, m:n matching, and quintile approach.
