Abstract:
|
Despite economically hard times, the $70 billion pharmaceutical industry continues to prosper and offers a wealth of opportunity for statistically trained graduates. Selecting the right career track is important when getting started. Hence, we begin by describing the three categories that encompass the majority of statistically oriented jobs: Clinical Programming, Statistical Programming, and Biostatistics. With these categories in mind, our talk focuses on presenting tips for choosing and applying for a first job in the pharmaceutical industry.
