Abstract:

The Mathematical Association of America is in the process of updating its Curriculum Guide and will recommend guidelines for a variety of different undergraduate courses. We serve on a committee developing the guidelines for introductory statistics courses taken by students majoring in the mathematical sciences. We will present the current thinking on these guidelines, describe some curricular models for such courses, and ask the audience for feedback and input on the recommendations.
