Abstract:

Regulatory Authorities encourage the use of Bayesian methods in clinical trials when the reasons for their use are clear and when the resulting conclusions are sufficiently robust, yet there is no widespread application of such methods in pharmaceutical industry. The roundtable discussion will focus on following questions: Where have you seen Bayesian methods used? What experience have you had of Bayesian methodology? What prevents you from using and implementing Bayesian methods in your day to day work? What would encourage you to start considering using Bayesian methods in future? What are particular areas of drug development that would benefit most from Bayesian methods being used?
