Abstract:
|
The extent to which a host or a site in seen across the Internet in terms of traffic going out from it can be an indicator of potential threats against it. In this paper we propose a set of metrics to estimate this visibility from network traffic data. We discuss the rationale behind these metrics, some of their statistical properties and their interpretation.
