Abstract:
|
Has it finally happened to you? More and more faculty are being asked to teach online for all or some of their class time. Converting a class from the traditional classroom format to a partial or completely online format involves many important decisions. This panel includes three instructors from various universities, all members of the CAUSE online cluster, who have recently undergone this decision-making process and taught their first online or partially online course. They will share what teaching the course for the first time in this new format was like, what lessons they learned from that first experience, what they would do again and what they would not repeat. Additionally, a panelist will share resources available through the CAUSE online cluster. These shared experiences and resources will help you build that survival guide to teaching online.
