Abstract:
|
Election night decisions have been based, historically, upon several sources of information that become available on the day of the election. While this still is the case, recent changes both in society and in the election system have led to increases in the complexity of estimation. These changes and their effects on estimation will be described. However, changes will continue for the foreseeable future, and the likely ensuing effects also will be discussed.
