Abstract:

This paper shows the results of evaluating the coverage of the 2010 U.S. Census based on the Census Coverage Measurement (CCM) survey. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the net error of undercount or overcount based on the dual system estimation methodology. The program also estimated the components of census coverage that included erroneous enumerations and omissions. This paper shows the estimated results of this evaluation of the 2010 Census. Results are shown for the population and housing unit coverage. The results shown focus on demographic, tenure and housing unit characteristics; governmental entities and census operations.
