Abstract:

This talk will describe the senior capstone/research class offered at Duke University for statistical science majors. It will include details on content, structure, and implementation of the course, and compare and contrast it to those offered at St. Olaf, Carnegie Mellon and U. Georgia. The talk will include student's perceptions on the value of the course, a method of evaluating student's work, and details about where our majors place in the job market.
