Abstract:
|
I will discuss a rich class of factor models for high dimensional and large scale statistical problems that arise in web applications like computational advertising and content recommendation. I will illustrate through data on various Yahoo! applications. Deploying such models entail several computational challenges, including scaling in a map-reduce framework. A detailed discussion of such computational issues will be provided. Some of the methods described are deployed at Yahoo! in various forms.
