Abstract:

This talk discusses an empirical likelihood approach to testing for the presence of stochastic ordering among univariate distributions when the data are right-censored. The proposed test statistic is the supremum of a localized, weighted, empirical likelihood statistic. The asymptotic null distribution of this test statistic is derived, and Monte Carlo simulation is used to obtain critical values. Applications of the proposed test to randomized clinical trials with time-to-event endpoints are discussed. The talk is based on joint work with Hsin-wen Chang.
