Abstract:
|
During this talk, we discuss typical uncertainty statements used in courts by crime lab forensic experts. The forensic fields are from those at the forefront of reform attempts. The second part of the talk discusses a careful approach of ASA to help speed forensic reform. This includes congressional testimony, and repeated visits to Capital Hill by members of an ad-hoc ASA forensic group. It also includes visits to relevant federal agencies and articles in AMSTATNEWS.
