Abstract:
|
This talk will discuss the usefulness of a general method for obtaining limiting distributions of complete case statistics for missing data models from those of the corresponding statistics when all data are observed. The methodology will be illustrated by analyzing two inference procedures for partially linear regression models with responses missing at random. Asymptotically distribution free tests for fitting a normal distribution to the errors and for testing that the nonparametric component of these models is a constant will be derived.
This talk is based on joint work with Ursula U. Müller and Anton Schick.
