Keywords: missing data ; imputation ; GUI
Abstract:

It is common to have missing values in statistical analysis, hence the visual exploration of missing data is an effective approach for data investigation and imputation diagnostics. This article introduces an intuitive GUI, which is designed to make the missing data visually accessible for various imputation methods. The GUI provides numeric and graphical summaries for the missing values from both discrete and continuous variables. A variety of imputation methods are applied, including univariate imputations like fixed or random values, multiple imputations, and imputations conditioned on a categorical variable. The missing data of interest are highlighted in several types of plots, which is very helpful for revealing the pattern of missings and accessing different imputations.
