Abstract:

There is growing interest in the pharmaceutical industry in incorporating Bayesian design and analysis concepts in clinical trials in all phases of drug development. The focus of this talk is on the design aspect, and in particular on sample size determination (SSD). We will focus specifically on a "proper Bayesian" approach for SDD, in which only Bayesian concepts are used in both the design and analysis stages.
