Abstract:

Clinical pharmacology studies span the length of the drug development process. The conclusions from these studies frequently guide the design of future clinical trials and language for the product label. Primary endpoints are most commonly related to pharmacokinetic aspects of the drug under investigation, and owing to the design of such studies, results are often complex and sometimes difficult to convey to project teams. The importance of clear informative graphics in conveying clinical pharmacology results is becoming increasingly recognized and appreciated. This session will highlight circumstances where graphics were particularly useful in communicating the results of clinical pharmacology studies, thereby facilitating effective decision making in project teams.
