Abstract:
|
The adverse effect of ambient air pollutants on health in the United States is a growing concern, and many studies have been done to collect data in order to explore this problem with mortality as a health endpoint. However, results are varied between studies: some analyses find a significant relationship between mortality and pollution levels, while others find no such relationship. I will present a meta-analysis of current studies in an effort to reconcile the question of whether there does exist an association between mortality and pollution levels.
