Abstract:

The Interagency Council on Statistical Policy supported the launching of an Innovation working group, which was tasked to collaborate on approaches to innovation within the federal statistical community. This panel presentation, an outgrowth of the working group's activities, showcases the budding careers of a few young statisticians and the interesting projects in which they are involved. These examples of cutting edge research projects underway within the federal statistical system are chosen to illustrate the work to be done by those interested in career opportunities in the federal government. Panel members will discuss and answer questions about the opportunities for federal statisticians at all career levels to contribute to important and technically challenging statistical projects.
