Abstract:

Public use survey data is often based on a complex, multistage sample designs. This information should be accounted for when using sample data, especially when estimating variance. In this round table, issues relating to weighting, and using weights, specifically in public use microdata sets will be discussed. Topics for discussion include: weighting options, weighting reduced samples, longitudinal weights, and the calculation of standard errors using weighting, clustering, and stratification.
