Author(s): William Peterson*+

Address: 14 Old Chapel Road, Middlebury, VT, 05753,
Keywords: wiki ; blog ; social media ; Chance course
Abstract:

How can statistics instructors share and collaborate on time-sensitive teaching materials? For example, the Chance course introduces statistical concepts in the context of current news stories, and relies on a "ripped-from-the-headlines" energy to motivate students. I can relate experiences as a regular user and contributor to the Chance Wiki, where instructors post news items and propose discussion questions. This roundtable will be an opportunity to share ideas and learn about strategies for using wikis, blogs and social media to provide dynamic course content.
