New conversations are emerging that focus on a second non-majors statistics course. Many professional schools are guided by requirements mandated from an accrediting organization (business, pharmacy, health). What tools of applied statistics should we emphasize? Given the varied quantitative skills enrolled in these required second courses, what do we want students to remember and carry into the professional community? How can we effectively teach these concepts and assess their skills in applying statistics in the 'real' world? Participants are encouraged to share syllabi and assessment strategies for course and program review critical to accreditation standards today.
